Dena ParishTransform Orthodontic Care continues its journey with the Norwood, Payneham and St Peters Council to promote art ‘spaces’ at our St Peters clinic in Adelaide.

We are pleased to introduce the third artist participating in our 2023 Art Exhibition program  – Dena Parish. She is a local artist living in the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters.

As an artist, Dena has always found solace and joy in the process of creative expression. From a young age, she discovered the power of art to communicate and convey emotions that words often fail to capture. Her artistic journey continues to evolve, allowing her to explore various mediums and techniques.

Art has always been an integral part of her life, and it has shaped her identity in profound ways. Her artistic style is ever-evolving, as she constantly seeks new ways to express herself and connect with others through her artwork. She has experience working with various mediums, including acrylic, oil, pencil, pastels, and watercolour, each offering unique possibilities for self-expression.

While art has been a constant in her life, she is also pursuing a career as an accredited psychotherapist and counsellor. She believes that art and psychology are deeply intertwined, as both provide powerful avenues for self-reflection, healing, and growth. By combining her passion for art with her understanding of emotions and human psychology, she hopes to support individuals on their journeys through memories, inner fears, desires, hopes, and challenges.

Her artworks often focus on faces and the profound power they hold. The eyes, in particular, are a significant focal point for her. Through vibrant colours and swirling shapes that surround these portraits, she aims to depict energy, feelings, and intentions. Each face she creates is intended to be seen as a presence – an entity that is curious, connected, mystical, and searching for answers within. She believes that by exploring the depths of our own inner worlds, we can unlock a sense of magic and power that resides within us.

Her aesthetic as an artist revolves around critical concepts such as authenticity, self-acceptance, courage, and understanding. Through her art, she strives to inspire reflection and curiosity in the viewers, inviting them to delve into their own inner worlds and embrace the uniqueness of their journeys. She hopes that her paintings serve as a catalyst for self-discovery and self-expression, reminding each person of their inherent value and potential. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to exhibit her paintings at Transform Orthodontic Care’s St Peters clinic.

Our no-commission policy ensures that all sales go directly to the artists, fostering a fair and mutually beneficial partnership. If you are interested in taking one of her paintings home, please feel free to reach out to our friendly team at the clinic.

The exhibition will be on display until the end of August 2023, and you are warmly invited to immerse yourself in her art on Friday afternoons or by appointment. We hope Dena’s artworks ignite a sense of wonder, introspection, and curiosity about your inner world and the magic and power you hold within.
